Tuesday May 4: Final Project due by MIDNIGHT.
Thursday, April 15
Today we will review what your final project should look like. This is the model you need to follow! We will also practice our public speaking again. I want you to take the introduction that you wrote, make whatever notes you need, and then present it in class.
Tuesday, April 13
Well, it seems that I may have done a bit more damage to my knee than originally thought. I have a late afternoon doctor's appointment today, which means that -- as much as it pains me (and you) -- there will be no class today. And yes, you can get your homework in by Thursday.
THANK YOU everyone for making my kids feel so welcome!
Thursday, April 8
Today we will work on the introduction to your final paper. Click here for the assignment. Final version of your introduction is due Tuesday.
Tuesday, April 6
Short class due to knee injury. We're going to review outlines, review some homework, talk about the annotated bibliography due Thursday and your final project outlines due Tuesday.
Thursday, April 1
First, we'll finish our public speaking exercise. Then we'll be doing research in class today, and I'll be meeting with each of you to discuss your annotated bibliographies -- specifically, your first homework. I have also posted an audio version of my nursery rhyme, which should help you if you have any questions about causation. Remember, you are all writing analytical papers, and most of you are writing a causal analysis. Follow this link for an important status update on your final papers. Working example of an outline: vampire outline.
